Installation
Windows XP
- Windows XP SP2
- System Requirements
Windows Vista
- You must install and run TradeBullet while logged-on as Administrator. Simply selecting "Run as Administrator" will not work.
- If .NET 1.1 is not already installed you can get it from here. Please note .NET 2 does not include .NET 1.1; they are separate installations and both should be installed.
- For automated login to IB's Trader Workstation (TWS), you'll need to Disable Vista's User Account Control (UAC). Click Start > Control Panel > User Accounts (under Classic View). On this screen click "Turn User Account Control on or off," then uncheck the box on the following screen.
Windows 2000
- System Requirements
- MS .NET Framework 1.1 Redistributable. The best way to get it is from the Microsoft Update site.
- The most current version of MS Jet engine and MDAC 2.8 or later (this is already included in WindowsXP SP2)
For Interactive Brokers users
- The Java Runtime Engine 1.5.0.12. Java 6 will cause TWS to run slower and may create other problems so it must be uninstalled if you already have it.
- TWS Standalone client 885.2 (later or previous releases may not work)
You do not need to install the API components.
Please note that the web client does not work with TradeBullet.
Previous versions of TWS will work but may need to be started manually. - Please make sure the 'Save settings on server' box is not checked in the TWS login window (it will prevent TB from automatically logging-on)
- You must enable socket clients to connect to the TWS API:
From TWS, click on Configure -> API -> Trusted IP Addresses -> Create
then enter 127.0.0.1 (or the IP address of the computer that TB is running on) - These TWS API options must also be checked:
"Download Open Orders on Connection"
"Enable ActiveX and Socket Clients" - TWS Demo system Username: edemo, Password: demouser
For MB Trading users
- MB Trading Navigator 11.1.0.2
- Please note Forex (EFX) is not officially supported with MBT
